YES! At least we'll get the extra funding and be able to effectively hold this terrible government's feet to the flames.

Don't you think you're a bit premature in declaring the government "terrible"? Give them time to screw up, at least.

Nah, I'll beat the Christmas rush.

Sigh. One day in and they're already terrible. This is probably how the media will treat Dexter, so we may as well get used to it.

Yeah, accuracy sucks sometimes huh?

What do you expect, my blog title has LIBERAL right in it.

Liberal shouldn't mean that you're partisan above all else, though. It's really okay to give the benefit of the doubt to a government from another party until they screw up, and, hey, even support them from time to time on issues where you agree with them. Knee-jerk partisanship is contributing a great deal to making Canada ungovernable at the federal level, and I really do wish that supporters from each party were able to reach across the aisle and work together when they happen to agree. That makes it much more meaningful and credible when they do have legitimate disagreements.

You've probably been following what's going on down south, and how out of touch and petty the Republicans have been seeming. A lot of it is due to just blind partisanship, and I'm afraid that's the attitude and aura you're giving off by proclaiming the government terrible before it's even started, on top of labelling some NDPers left of Stalin, and agitating about an "Iron Curtain" rising on Nova Scotia. You're probably not a bad guy, and I certainly have been guilty of getting carried away with partisanship myself, but I think you should take a look at how you're coming off. It think it ultimately hurts democracy if you spend your energy demonising your opponents.
