Tobin Calls for Harper to respond to U.S. group Interference

I caught an interview on CTV Newsnet this morning with Brian Tobin, in which he too mentioned the U.S. Interference story. And also called on Stephen Harper to finally respond to this matter.
"It also matters when you have the National Rifle Association showing up in Canada and deciding to endorse the Conservative campaign in this case and try and inject their agenda, which they've been very successful in injecting in the United States, into the Canadian electoral process. In fact I would think this would be a good day and a good time for Stephen Harper to publically disassociate himself from the Work of the National Rifle Association who are holding organizational meetings in Canada telling gun owners why they should be out supporting the NRA plan and the Conservative party to achieve it."

This is good news for those of us who have wanted to see this story out there ever since it broke. Stephen Harper needs to either accept or reject the endorsement of these American groups. He should not be allowed to be silent on this issue.

Great catch, HH. I'll be linking in from Cerberus as soon as I get the chance.

This should definitely be a question during the debate.

I fully agree here. The NRA should butt out of our own internal affairs. If Harpers wants to be prime-minister, he needs to tell them they are not welcome to help out on his campaign. The fact he has remained silent on this issue like many others should be of concern to many Canadians.
