Harper accuses Liberals of being pro PQ

Stephen Harper's Quebec strategy leaves much to be desired, which of course delights me.

First he announces that he wants to let Quebec have a larger role when it comes to international negotiations. This is a slippery slope and will only embolden the Soveriengtists.

Now, I'd like to make a reference to the past to illustrate my point. It involves Hitler and there seems to be a view that any argument involving him should automatically be discounted. I'm of the belief in that old saying "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it." I also want to make clearn I'm not calling anyone Nazis.

That being said, in the build up to World War II Joseph P. Kennedy, father of the future President John F. Kennedy, rejected the warnings by Winston Churchill that Nazi Germany posed a looming threat, and supported Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain's policy of appeasement. Appeasement only makes the aggressor more aggressive. If the Seperatists see that they can push Harper around they will keep pushing, which would be bad for the rest of Canada. And without a strong Federalist leader the country is doomed.

Secondly, yesterday he accuses the Liberals of being pro Parti Quebecois, saying that we want them to win the next election so that we can be seen as the saivors of Canada. Nothing is further from the truth, which is why we're starting the fight with them now so that when the next provincial election comes they won't have a big head start. The more Bloc MPs in Quebec the higher the profile of their cause. It's so simple a child could understand it, and anyone who seriously looks at Harper's Quebec policy should cringe with fear at the prospect of him becoming Prime Minister.
